O.C.I.A. (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) is a process, which begins as a dialogue to discuss the issues that are relevant to you. “Why does the Church do this?” “Why did the priest…?” The process answers the personal issues and then moves on to a systematic study of the teachings of Jesus and his Church.
The process develops in the pattern of a support group.
The group consists of those who are interested in the church, and may include a parish priest, the sponsors and members of the parish who help to provide insights to assist in the process of becoming a part of the parish community. We all gather to learn and grow in our faith. We begin in September each year and journey to be received into the Church at the Easter Vigil . Meetings are on Thursdays at 7:00 PM in the Rectory Meeting Room at St. Therese. For more information or to join please contact Lori at lellis@thomastheapostle.net
